ORIGIN
2018

Ultiverse Live will engage live audiences and collaborations with artists to build the conversational environment Ultiverse and create online interactions with the work. A public facing studio and exhibition space in Leeds will see diverse audiences and artists participate in talks, workshops, collaborations and live performances.

Conceptualised by artist Akeelah Bertram, Ultiverse first exhibited in 2016 as a project space hosting a range of artists and practitioners. In 2017 Akeelah undertook a 30 day R&D with technologist Joanne Armitage and composer Aron Kyne to introduce interactive elements to the work. Informed by audience feedback, they collaborated to create a blueprint for a conversational environment.
